For the past 2 years, I started daily projects for myself to keep my creative juices flowing.
In 2019, I did A Second a Day project. The name speaks for itself. I recorded one second of every day from January 1 to December 31, 2019 and edited it all together. 2019 was a great year to do this project. I went to events, traveled, and even experienced crazy weather that I could showcase in the video.

In 2020, I did A Photo A Day project. Again, a pretty self explanatory project where I uploaded a picture every day. About 98% of the photos uploaded were taken that same day but there were a few instances where they were older pictures. It was a tough year for this project. Not being able to go up to Chicago and being quarantined at home meant I had to be creative with some pictures. This is definitely a project I plan to revisit once COVID-19 is no longer an issue.

With 2021 here, it’s time for a new project. I did a video project one year, photos another and this year will be writing! The only reason I chose Medium as my platform for this project was because I saw a few links on Twitter leading back to this site and decided why not?
So here are a few rules I am giving myself:
- I must publish a post every Saturday. On the last week of 2021, it will be posted on Friday since December 31 falls on that day.
- Posts can be about anything from memories, significant event of that week, reviews or random musings.
- Every post must contain some kind of digital media whether it is a photo or video.
- Links to posts must be shared on all my socials.
This one has to be one of the harder annual projects I’m doing because I’m a terrible writer and never had much of a motivation to improve. I hope that this project alone will help me in some way when it comes to being creative.
