Disclaimer: This is just MY experience of getting the vaccine. Your experience may or may not be the same.

As per tradition, I am late with my post. Originally I wanted to post this on Monday but I wasn’t feeling too good, but here it is!

On Saturday, I got my second dose of the Pfizer vaccine. We went to the same location as our first dose. When we got there, the parking lot wasn’t so full and didn’t have to wait for check-in. Check-in was also pretty fast this time around since they already have all our information.

Once we were done with check-in we immediately went to the vaccination area and were at a table with a nurse right away. The shot hurt more this time around but it could have been just the nurse jabbing a little harder. Just like last time, we had to wait for 15 minutes in the observation area. We were in and out of the vaccination site in less than 30 minutes.

We didn’t have side affects right after the vaccine but a few hours later, I started to feel tired. I also started to feel cold and I felt body aches. My body temperature didn’t go up so that was good but we ended up just laying around in the living room the rest of the evening. The next day on Sunday, we spent all morning and afternoon sleeping and laying around. It definitely felt worse than the day before. Our body still felt tired but we didn’t feel sick, if that makes sense. I didn’t feel better until late Sunday night but even then, my body still wasn’t 100%.

As I mentioned, I originally wanted to write this up yesterday (Monday), but I started to feel sick. My chest felt heavy and breathing felt labored. I didn’t feel this until late afternoon. Sitting up hurt so I spent the evening laying down. At first, I was worried that it may have been a side affect of the vaccine. I tried sitting up despite it hurting and all of a sudden, I started burping a lot haha! I’m guessing it might have been acid reflex. As I’m writing this, I feel a lot better.

Now that I’m fully vaccinated, I feel more comfortable being outside and around people. I even booked a plane ticket to California to finally see my family after two years. I’ll be flying out at the end of the month!

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the read and I’ll see you all next week!
